Westmont Living Names COO And CFO

Rob Henderson, formerly Senior Vice President of Operations (SVPO) has been named Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Dever Lamkin as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Westmont Living. According to Westmont Living CEO Andy Plant, “The addition of Rob Henderson to our executive group has immensely strengthened our leadership teams. Rob’s collaborative approach to building partnerships across the organization has significantly enhanced Westmont’s culture of continuous growth. With Dever Lamkin as CFO, we are poised to take advantage of our growth strategies on a sound financial footing.”
Henderson has spent his entire 23+ year career serving seniors. Starting as a Skilled Nursing Administrator operating various SNF’s for a Los Angeles-based provider. He spent 10 years with Sunrise Senior Living serving as an Executive Director and Regional Director of Operations. Henderson joined MBK Senior Living in 2012 as the Vice President of Operations where he helped grow the company from 15 communities to 34 communities. In 2019 he joined Westmont Living as the SVPO. Henderson holds a Skilled Nursing Administrator license along with an RCFE Certification and is also a Certified Director of Assisted Living. He is a graduate of San Diego State University and lives with his family in Oceanside. In November 2020 Henderson was recognized by the San Diego Business Journal as one of the 500 Most Influential People in San Diego. Prior to that he was listed as one of the 50 People Who Make a Difference.
Lamkin, who was hired by Westmont this year, came from Senior Resource Group, LLC (SRG) where he worked for 20 years starting as Staff Accountant and rising to Corporate Controller during a time when the company grew from 8 to 32 communities. “His collaborative approach and background in growing a portfolio make him an ideal fit for Westmont,” said Rob Henderson, COO. “Also, his having a background in senior living is an added benefit.”
Lamkin’s expertise ranges from managing and developing operating and business plans for multiple ownership structures, to providing strategic financial analysis at both a community and consolidated level. “Working with a company that used to be the size of SRG ten years ago – is a win-win. It gives me a chance to guide Westmont’s growth and leave an imprint.” Lamkin earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from The University of San Diego and is a Certified Public Accountant. He lives with his family in Rancho Bernardo.
