Yvonne Jung Joins Mather as Senior Vice President of Human Resources

EVANSTON, IL—Mather, an 81-year-old not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating “Ways to Age Well,” welcomes Yvonne Jung to its executive possibilities team as senior vice president of human resources.
In addition to the day-to-day responsibilities for the development and execution of all elements of human resources policies and employee programs for Mather, Jung will also be a strategic business partner working closely with Mather leadership. She will provide leadership to HR to further develop and strengthen talent acquisition; employee education and development; and employee engagement, rewards and recognition. Jung will also serve as a catalyst for refreshing Mather culture initiatives, and will lead its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
“It’s an exciting time to be joining Mather,” said Mary Leary, Mather’s CEO and president. “We look forward to Yvonne playing an important role, including the recruitment and onboarding efforts for nearly 200 team members for our new development—The Mather in Tysons, VA, [which is] scheduled to open in early 2024.”
Jung will also support the enrichment of Mather team leaders through education and development—specifically, leadership development and management essentials programs.
Jung joins Mather with a vast array of knowledge and experience, primarily in the hospitality industry for international and U.S.-based properties. She lives in Falls Church, VA, and has a Master of Arts in human resource development from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in business management from the University of Maryland. She maintains her senior professional in HR certification (SPHR) from the Society for HR Management, and her certified compensation professional (CCP) designation from World at Work.
