Heart to Home Meals to Expand into New Jersey

May 8, 2026

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. — Heart to Home Meals USA has signed its third U.S. franchise agreement, with a new development deal in Somerset, N.J., as the senior meal-delivery brand continues its expansion in the Northeast.

The Somerset County territory is the company’s first in New Jersey. Heart to Home Meals previously signed franchise agreements for Raleigh, N.C., and the Chicagoland area.

Heart to Home Meals is headquartered in the Boston area and serves communities across Massachusetts, New Hampshire and parts of Connecticut and Rhode Island through its corporate operations.

“This agreement represents another exciting step forward as we expand into high-potential markets across the U.S., particularly here in the Northeast where we’ve already built a strong operational foundation,” said Chris Webb, president of Heart to Home Meals USA. “New Jersey is a natural next step for us, with nearly one in five residents age 54 or older. We’re continuing to partner with individuals who share our commitment to making a meaningful impact in their communities and support the growing demand for services that help seniors age in place.”

Heart to Home Meals said the Somerset County territory reflects its expansion strategy across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, where the company sees demand for in-home support services for older adults.

The company’s franchisees provide chef-prepared meals delivered to seniors’ homes. The company said its model also uses trained drivers who build relationships with customers and provide an additional layer of support and connection.

“We’re seeing tremendous interest from prospective franchise partners, especially in markets where there’s both strong demand and alignment with our mission,” said Richard Peroe, senior director of franchise development. “Our presence in New England has demonstrated how impactful this model can be at the community level, and we’re excited to bring that same approach to New Jersey as we continue expanding across the country.”

Heart to Home Meals began U.S. franchising in 2024. The company said the Somerset territory is among its first 10 U.S. franchisees and will receive its founding franchise incentive, in which the $40,000 franchise fee is reinvested into local marketing to support launch and early growth.

Heart to Home Meals is part of apetito, a global food and nutrition company founded in 1958 that generates more than $1 billion in annual sales. Heart to Home Meals launched in the United States in 2019 and offers more than 150 menu options for older adults, including meals tailored to a range of dietary needs.
