November 3, 2025
WESTPORT, CT — Bedrock Communities, an owner and operator of mobile home parks and manufactured housing communities across the Southeast, has acquired Wood Dale Mobile Home Park, a 123-home, 55+ community in Zephyrhills, Florida.
According to a press release, the acquisition represents the company’s first Fund IV investment, underscoring its continued growth and commitment to providing affordable housing solutions.
Wood Dale has been owned by the same individual for more than 30 years, representing a rare opportunity to acquire a long-established 55+ community with a strong foundation. For Bedrock, the acquisition is an opportunity to preserve Wood Dale’s character while implementing capital improvements and continuing to offer residents a desirable, affordable place to live.
“Wood Dale is a unique opportunity to invest in a 55+ mobile home park with such a long history in the community,” said Bedrock Communities Partner Rhonda Stroud. “We are committed to maintaining affordability while making thoughtful improvements that benefit residents — from enhanced shared spaces to ensuring long-term stability and peace of mind.”
Residents of Wood Dale will continue to enjoy a quiet, welcoming neighborhood while Bedrock makes plans to upgrade amenities, add new signage, and enhance infrastructure, including the addition of a dog park and picnic area.
“After more than three decades with the same ownership, we’ll uphold the integrity and care that’s been provided to Wood Dale residents,” said Stroud.
Bedrock Communities owns and operates mobile home parks and manufactured housing communities across Florida and the Southeast United States; its focus is on affordability, community, and long-term value creation.
