Benchmark at Roseland Names Shannon Basile Executive Director

ROSELAND, N.J. — Benchmark at Roseland has named Shannon Basile executive director.
Basile has more than 15 years of experience in senior living and aging services operations. She most recently served as resident care coordinator at Sunrise Senior Living in Staten Island, N.Y. Before that, she was service manager at A Very Special Place in Staten Island.
As executive director, Basile will oversee day-to-day operations at Benchmark at Roseland, an assisted living and memory care community. Her responsibilities include recruitment, supervision, support and coaching of associates and volunteers.
“I am honored to join the Benchmark at Roseland community and help build a strong culture where residents, families and associates thrive,” Basile said. “Benchmark’s commitment to empowering associates and delivering exceptional personalized care made it a natural fit for me.”
Basile is a certified assisted living administrator and has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and education from Touro University.

Benchmark Senior Living expanded into New Jersey in October 2025 with the acquisition of Arbor Terrace Roseland, now Benchmark at Roseland. The 85-apartment assisted-living and memory-care community was acquired through a joint venture between National Development and Benchmark, with financing provided by Synovus Bank.
The community offers supportive health care services, dining, social and wellness programs, a movie room, a fitness center and a recreation room. The community was recognized in the 2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Senior Living ratings.
