Benchmark Senior Living Vice President Selected for Aging Media Future Leader Rising Star Industry Award

August 18, 2022

WALTHAM, MA—Benchmark Senior Living, the largest senior housing provider in New England, announced earlier this week that its vice president of capital markets, Lynda Maryanski, CPA, has been recognized with a major industry award. Maryanski has been named to Aging Media’s Future Leaders Class of 2022 for helping shape the next decade of care delivery and “enacting a vision for the good of all.”

Aging Media’s Future Leaders in senior housing are selected for having guided their organizations through the reinvention of their industry and creating new opportunities for would-be leaders to drive the industry forward. Winners have been proven innovative by demonstrating transformative thinking and displaying limitless potential.

“A company is truly only as good as its talent, and we are pleased to have some of the industry’s finest and most forward-thinking leaders at all levels,” said Tom Grape, founder, chairman and CEO of Benchmark. “Lynda has made enormous contributions to Benchmark and the industry over the past decade, so this recognition is incredibly well-deserved.”

Throughout her tenure, Maryanski has expertly negotiated joint venture and co-investment fund equity sourcing for Benchmark’s many acquisitions and new developments. She’s also driven exponential growth for the company’s four continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs) and has made it her mission to mentor other future leaders.

Before joining Benchmark in 2013, Maryanski worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) as an audit manager for their real estate practice. While at PWC, she worked with REITs, private equity investment companies and Benchmark, where she was drawn to the elder care business.

This is Benchmark’s third time receiving the Future Leader award. Most recently, in 2021, their vice president of accounting and finance, Kathleen Sullivan, was named to the list.
