Blakehurst Names Renee Garvin as Executive Director

TOWSON, Md. — Blakehurst has appointed Renee D. Garvin executive director of the Life Plan Community.

As executive director, Garvin will oversee operations at Blakehurst, which is managed by Life Care Services. The 40-acre Towson campus offers independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, rehabilitation and memory care.

Garvin has more than 30 years of leadership experience in senior living and health care. She most recently served as executive director of Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster, Md.

She previously led Life Plan Communities in Florida and Illinois, where her work included renovations, campus expansions, organizational growth and operational and cultural changes.

Garvin holds a master of business administration and a master of public health. She also spent 14 years working within an integrated health system that included a hospital, senior living communities and home health services.
