April 12, 2019
MCMINNVILLE, OR–The Springs Living promoted Brenda Connelly to Chief Quality Officer in March. In this role, Connelly will ensure the company’s high standards of care and services are continually practiced throughout its senior living communities in Oregon and Montana, and continuous improvements are in place to strengthen the foundation and consistency of outcomes.
“Brenda is an experienced leader who engages and inspires all of us toward continual, system-wide quality and innovation,” said Jay Leo, President of The Springs Living. “With her direct-care nursing background and nearly nine years with The Springs Living, her strengths in organizational leadership have helped The Springs Living consistently deliver the essential values of senior care.”
Throughout college and her career, Connelly chose clinical and service environments that focused on seniors. During and after college she worked for nine years in a skilled nursing facility where she began as a CNA, then charge nurse, and later was promoted to various management positions until overseeing facility operations.
Connelly joined The Springs Living in 2010 as Executive Director of The Springs at Whitefish. Two years later she was promoted to Director of Quality Assurance, overseeing the health services provided to residents across all communities. In 2015 she was named Director of Community Operations to lead regional operations teams and ensure each community had the necessary resources and systems in place for consistently delivering the highest quality care and services to residents.
The Springs Living is currently constructing new senior living communities in Lake Oswego, OR and Bozeman, MT, as well as significantly expanding The Springs Living at Sherwood in OR. Each new community is expected to generate about 100-150 new jobs.
“As The Springs Living grows, it’s important to dedicate an experienced team of our people to focus specifically on quality and continuous improvement,” said Leo. “There’s no better person than Brenda to lead our quality efforts and energize employees company-wide.”
“It’s tremendously fulfilling to work with each of our teams to achieve our high standard for consistent quality,” said Connelly. “This includes a focus on the warmth and compassion our residents and their families count on.”
A BSN graduate of North Dakota State University, Connelly is currently furthering her education and will graduate with a Masters of Quantitative Management – Health Analytics from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business in the next year. She also obtained her Assisted Living Administrators License in Montana in 2010.
