Capital Senior Living Promotes Five Professionals to Strategic Operational Roles

DALLAS–Capital Senior Living, one of the nation’s largest operators of senior living communities, announced the appointment of several operationally focused professionals to new roles within the Company.
Carole Burnell was promoted to vice president of operations for Capital Senior Living’s Southwest Regional Operating Center (ROC), which includes communities spanning Arizona, California and Texas. In this capacity, Burnell, who is based in Dallas, will support growth and performance throughout the ROC through goal-setting and operational directives in line with corporate objectives. Having spent 15 of her 22 years in the senior housing space at Capital Senior Living, Burnell has in-depth experience on the operational level. Most recently, she was regional operations manager, overseeing the Dallas/Fort Worth area. She has a proven track record for leading high-performing teams and delivering consistent operational performance.
Rooamak (Romie) Galvan, who previously spent three years as executive director for The Waterford on Cooper community in Arlington, TX, was appointed regional operations manager of the West Dallas/Fort Worth communities. Galvan will manage operations for eight communities throughout West Dallas and Fort Worth. Galvan has 25 years of industry-related experience, making her an excellent candidate for this role. Galvan is based at the Company’s corporate headquarters in Dallas.
Sam Payne was promoted to the post of regional operations manager of Capital Senior Living’s Mid-Cities Dallas/Ft. Worth areas, where he will lead sales and operations for the Mid-Cities Region, which encompasses nine communities. Payne has been employed with Capital Senior Living for a combined six years, most recently serving as executive director at the Meadow Lakes community in North Richland Hills, TX. Payne will continue to office at that community.
In her new role as regional operations manager of East Dallas communities, Gina Nance will oversee operations at seven Capital Senior Living communities. A 13-year Company veteran, Nance was promoted to this position from her long-time position as executive director at Spring Lake in Paris, Texas. She will work from the Spring Lake community in Paris, TX.
Linda McAlister was named regional operations manager for California, Arizona and Texas communities, managing day-to-day operations of nine communities. With 15 years of experience at Capital Senior Living, and 25 in the senior community space, McAlister was most recently a regional sales manager. McAlister is based at the Walnut Creek Assisted Living & Memory Care community in Mansfield, TX.
“These promotions were awarded to those colleagues that have clearly demonstrated operational excellence and success in their prior positions with the Company. Their experience and roles directly align with our new strategic direction as we appropriately organize to successfully deliver on our initiatives and plan as we strive to enhance operations and improve efficiencies across our entire network,” explained Kimberly Lody, president and chief executive officer at Capital Senior Living.
