Capitol Seniors Housing Opens Arbor Terrace Mount Laurel in New Jersey

January 20, 2020

MOUNT LAUREL, NJ, and WASHINGTON, DC–Capitol Seniors Housing, a leading senior living investment and development firm, announces the opening of Arbor Terrace Mount Laurel in New Jersey. Located at 785 Centerton Road in Mount Laurel, the 75,000-square-foot community offers 88 residential suites and is operated by The Arbor Company. The new community offers assisted living and memory care.

“We’re excited to welcome seniors to our spectacular new community in Mount Laurel,” said Scott Stewart, Managing Partner of Capitol Seniors Housing. “Residents and their families will feel welcomed as soon as they step foot in the property, where they’ll experience beautiful and spacious common areas and warm, home-like rooms. This, in addition to the convenient location and best-in-class care services provided by the industry’s premier operator, The Arbor Company.”

Arbor Terrace Mount Laurel features views of Laurel Creek Country Club and is located at the intersection of Creek and Centerton Roads in Mount Laurel, which is an affluent suburb east of Philadelphia. The community is just east of the Interstate 295 interchange and the New Jersey Turnpike, making the community very accessible to the entire market area.

Arbor Terrace Mount Laurel was designed by the Meyer Senior Living Studio, based in Ardmore, PA. The building is a contemporary nod on the local architectural styles of the Victorian-style residential neighborhoods. Meyer’s architectural team used red brick with contrasting bright colors for the tower elements along with gable trusses dotting the perimeter of the building to give it a dynamic roof line.

The interiors compliment the transitional feel of the exterior with high-end finishes and lighting. The multi-purpose activities space uses the high tower roof feature to create cathedral ceilings with large structural wood trusses, while the pub takes advantage of views to the Country Club adjacent to the property with a large balcony overlooking the tennis courts and pool. Additional amenities include a bistro, theater room, art studio, technology lounge, fitness/rehab center, theater, patio, and courtyard.

Arbor’s lifestyle program aims to engage each resident with activities tailored to their unique interests and passions. Through their Active Minds program, residents are encouraged to learn new languages, pick up a paint brush, or find their Zen with yoga. At Arbor, it’s never too late to learn.

“We’re grateful to the Mount Laurel community and local officials who helped make this project possible,” said Joe McElwee, Principal – Development, Capitol Seniors Housing.“Seniors deserve high-quality amenities, engaging programs, and care, and we’re proud to provide that for families across the area.”

The Arbor Company operates 41 communities in 11 states, including seven communities across New Jersey.

Based in Washington D.C., Capitol Seniors Housing is a private equity-backed real estate acquisition, development and investment management firm founded in 2003. Along with its capital partners, The Carlyle Group and Bain Capital, CSH has successfully acquired or developed more than 120 senior housing communities and deployed over $2.5 billion of investment capital to date.
