SHAWNEE, KS — Cedarhurst Senior Living has announced the groundbreaking for Cedarhurst of Shawnee in this southwestern suburb of Kansas City. It will offer a range of amenities and personalized care services, including engaging social activities, chef-prepared dining options, and access to top-notch healthcare resources. The two-story, 72,000-square foot community will feature 59 assisted living apartments and 24 memory care suites situated on approximately 20 acres of land.

Some of the noteworthy features of Cedarhurst of Shawnee will be a fitness center, yoga studio, and wellness programs tailored to promote physical health and active lifestyles; gourmet dining experiences crafted by skilled chefs, catering to diverse tastes and dietary needs; a robust calendar of activities, events, and outings designed to foster social connections and stimulate cognitive engagement; comprehensive care services tailored to individual needs; and lush landscapes, outdoor seating areas, and tranquil spaces to encourage relaxation and enjoyment of nature.

Cedarhurst of Shawnee is expected to open its doors to residents in the spring of 2026.
