SKOKIE, IL — Covenant Living Communities and Services and Presbyterian Homes of Tennessee have announced in a press release that they have closed on an affiliation with two communities in the metropolitan area of Knoxville, Tennessee.
Shannondale of Knoxville sits on 50 acres and offers independent living and assisted living in 228 apartments, homes, and duplexes. Shannondale of Maryville, 24 miles south of Knoxville, sits on 34 acres and offers independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing with 237 apartments, homes, and duplexes.
Under the agreement, the two communities are now affiliate members and governed, operated, and managed by Covenant Living.
“This affiliation is really bringing together two organizations with very similar missions and values of providing exceptional services for both residents and employees,” said David Erickson, president and CEO of Covenant Living. “We currently operate in 10 states, and this gives Covenant Living an opportunity to expand our services to older adults in the Southeastern part of the country and adding an 11th state to our portfolio.”
“Covenant Living’s reputation and sound financial practices will provide additional strength and access to resources for operational efficiencies, national contracts, management expertise, as well as capital improvements,” said Scott Phillips, president/CEO of Shannondale. “Shannondale has a rich 57-year history and by affiliating with Covenant Living, the two communities are poised with strength to continue well into the future.”
