Cruikshank-Eberle Joins Amavida as Director of Assisted Living and Memory Care

FORT MYERS, FL–Amavida has named Catherine Cruikshank-Eberle its director of assisted living and memory care. In this role, she is overseeing the Vistas and Meadows, Amavida’s assisted living and memory care divisions, and supporting Amavida’s core philosophy of resort-style care that combines hospitality and senior living to deliver a five-star experience within a loving and supportive community.

Cruikshank-Eberle has a master’s degree in geriatric administration and her doctoral studies in gerontology focus on Alzheimer’s disease, with an interest in behaviors and family dynamics. She has more than two decades of experience in the fields of assisted living and dementia. Previously, Cruikshank-Eberle was director of education for the Alzheimer’s Association, Florida Gulf Coast Chapter, where she also served as regional program director and program specialist for Lee and Collier counties.

Amavida is an active adult rental community offering resort-style living with 300 independent living cottages and apartments, 125 assisted living, and 34 memory care apartments. Conveniently located at 7650 Gladiolus Drive in Fort Myers, between Summerlin Road and U.S. 41, community tours are available by walk-in or appointment. The Amavida Welcome Center is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
