FREEHOLD, NJ — Distinctive Living, a senior living management and development company, has announced in a press release the appointment of Kristina Vance as vice president of sales and Erin Richey as vice president of marketing.

Vance oversees Distinctive Living’s sales initiatives and focuses on driving census growth across the company’s growing portfolio of operators of independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities. Richey, meanwhile, aligns marketing activities with sales goals and she will expand Distinctive Living’s in-house digital and creative capabilities.

Richey brings more than 15 years of senior living marketing experience to Distinctive Living, as well as expertise in the digital space. As founder of Matura Marketing, a senior living digital marketing agency, she spearheaded marketing campaigns for national and regional multi-property providers of senior living, including Sonata Senior Living, AgeWell Solvere Living, and Bridge Senior Living. From search engine marketing (SEM/SEO) to marketing automation and social media, she is skilled in the art of applying analytical tools and full-funnel strategies to create quantifiable results.

The addition of Vance and Richey heralds a period of transition both within Distinctive Living and in the expanding senior living space. Following the acquisition of Validus Senior Living in April 2024, Distinctive Living’s footprint has continually grown to include more than 38 operating assets with additional plans for new development underway.

“As we continue to bring assets online, expand our reach, and enhance capabilities in 2025, reorganization positions us for strategic growth in a pivotal moment of time,” CEO Joseph J. Jedlowski stated.

Distinctive Living’s vision for restructuring began with the addition of EVP/ COO Shelley Esden in August 2024. The lynchpin of the company’s reorganization strategy, Esden has been instrumental in changing management, ensuring strategic realignment with the company’s operations and capital partners.

“The appointment of Kristina and Erin to executive management assures investors more successful outcomes in sales and marketing,” said Esden. “Together they bring a one-two punch with a powerful impact and underscore our commitment to embrace innovation and data-driven solutions with specialized talent working collaboratively in their respective areas of expertise.”

Distinctive Living is a national senior living owner, developer and management provider in the active-adult, independent living, assisted living, and memory care sectors.
