Dominion Senior Living at Patrick Square Breaks Ground on $13 Million Luxury Independent Living Community in Clemson
May 31, 2018
CLEMSON, SC–Dominion Independent Living at Patrick Square is officially under construction. The Dominion Senior Living team gathered to break ground at the site of its new 72,000-square-foot, $13 million community located at 150 Pershing Avenue in Clemson. The four-story community will have 70 luxury style apartments in several floor plans.
During the ceremony, Corporate Chaplain Augie Barker of Dominion Senior Living dedicated the grounds through prayer, and company leaders wrote handwritten prayers which will be placed in the foundation of the building. This thoughtful action demonstrates how the team’s commitment to faith is in every part of the community’s development. Dominion Senior Living has a mission to honor God through the service of seniors.
Seniors will find an independent environment filled with luxury apartments inside a community full of amenities and vitality. Dominion Independent Living at Patrick Square is expected to open in the fall of 2019 and bring about 20 new jobs to the area.
“We are honored to break ground on our third community in South Carolina,” said Michael Holzclaw, senior vice president operations of Dominion Senior Living. “The support from the community was humbling, and we couldn’t be more excited to open our doors next year. We are in the business of helping others, and every detail of the community is carefully considered and designed to offer an active, engaging, safe, secure and peaceful environment. Clemson is the perfect place for a faith-based independent living community. We are happy to exceed the needs of this community.”
Representatives from the Dominion Senior Living corporate office included Ron Pingrey, construction manager; Michael Holtzclaw, senior vice president operations; Isaac Cooper, construction assistant; and Danny Maples, construction manager. Local attendees included Republican Sen. Thomas Alexander; David Lane, Clemson Chamber of Commerce president; Chris Hodge, Susan Jezek, and Jason Armstrong of Patrick Square Leadership.
The community will be led by Principal, Role Model Lindsey Daugherty. Dominion’s Principal Role Model Program holds high promise in the senior living industry. Daugherty is empowered to make a difference with trusted autonomy. The program includes opportunities in profit-sharing, decision-making and flexibility. The company is closely connected with its operators, allowing operators to engage at a higher level of connection to the communities they serve.
“We are redefining senior living. It is a privilege to be able to provide an aging continuum in Patrick Square. Our Independent Living will enhance aging with all the amenties and socialization one could ever want,” said Daugherty. “Dominion Senior Living is changing how people look at senior living, and I am proud to be a part of that. We will offer cutting-edge technology and fantastic onsite amenties for residents to enjoy in a community with a purposeful culture. We are fortunate to be in an ideal location with shops and restaurants within walking distance. We want each resident to feel at home, and that’s exactly what will happen in our community, Dominion Independent Living at Patrick Square.”
The community features all-inclusive monthly rental rates without a length-of-stay commitment and includes housekeeping and transportation services, three daily chef-prepared farm-to-table meals, Wi-Fi, 24-7 surveillance monitoring and concierge, therapy services and lifstyle-enhancing programs and features including game room, theater/chapel, spa, yoga room and outdoor entertainment.
