Elegance Living Announces New Strategic Hires To Support Platform Modernization and Quality Focus

June 7, 2022

BALTIMORE, MD—Elegance Living, the management arm of private-equity company Capital Health Group, LLC, has announced several key leadership hires to support the company’s platform modernization, quality focus and growth in the coastal California market.

The company manages a range of senior living properties—from independent, assisted living and memory care in value-driven suburban markets to high-end luxury communities in premiere urban markets—with a common focus on operational excellence through standardization, technology integration and workforce development.

As part of the company’s platform modernization vision, they’ve hired top industry talent across the country to the leadership team, including:

  • Lisa Gaudioso, promoted to chief operating officer
  • Lydel Wright, senior vice president of wellness and care
  • Kimberly Severns-Jones, senior vice president of quality assurance and risk management
  • Kathleen Habick, vice president of people
  • Melisa Jones-Knight, vice president of sales and marketing
  • Donald Spatulo, national director of culinary experience
  • Melanie Perry, national director of resident engagement
  • Kaitlin Cavinder, senior director of business analysis

“We’re thrilled to add the right people at the right time to address current challenges facing the industry, and to execute our long-term strategy to modernize and build a best-in-class management platform,” said Elegance CEO, Josh Krull.

In January, as a proactive response to two years of COVID restrictions and to align residents, families and team members toward business optimization efforts, Elegance Living launched The 2022 Grateful Give Back—a year-long, company-wide campaign designed to enhance resident/family engagement, culinary delivery and employee recognition, and to give future customers and families a reason to be excited about choosing senior living.

“The whole campaign is also about aligning operations and giving back to the local communities,” said Lisa Gaudioso, new chief operating officer of Elegance Living. “Together, we are working to achieve a goal of 2,022 acts of collective goodness in 2022, with really engaging monthly themes to guide and align us operationally.”

In June, the company will open Elegance Berkeley, a fully entitled 96 unit assisted living and memory support development in Berkeley, California. This follows the opening of Elegance Hamilton Hill in Novato, California, in 2021, which involved the redevelopment of a local historic landmark—part of the company’s strategy to manage and invest in properties in high-barrier-to-entry urban markets.
