Emerald Communities Appoints Okezie to Its Board

Emerald CommunitiesREDMOND, WA — Emerald Communities, a nonprofit senior living organization serving Emerald Heights and Heron’s Key, has announced in a press release the appointment of Uche Okezie as its newest board member.

In her role on the board, Okezie serves Emerald Communities, Emerald Heights, and Heron’s Key for a three-year term. She will also attend seven board of directors’ meetings annually, serve on one or more board committees and task forces, and collaborate for the good of the three organizations.

“Uche’s many years of experience in real estate development and the nonprofit sector will be incredibly helpful to our senior living communities,” says Lisa Hardy, president/CEO of Emerald Communities. “She brings an extensive knowledge and a unique perspective which will serve our board, staff, and residents really well. We are excited to welcome her to the team!”

Okezie has nearly two decades of project and relationship management experience in multifamily housing, government, and nonprofit organizations. She has worked in the nonprofit sector as an employee and as a board member.

Emerald Communities serves seniors at its resort-style life-plan communities in the Seattle area cities of Redmond and Gig Harbor, Washington.
