K4Connect Continues Growth Momentum, Appoints Technology Industry Veteran as Chief Growth Officer

February 27, 2019

As Chief Growth Officer, Stewart will use his 20 years of experience in the technology industry helping to successfully grow companies and sales organizations to fuel K4Connect’s progress and expansion. His new role will allow Stewart to apply his knowledge in driving customer results and business transformation, from small companies to large Fortune 500 clients, with new business models and disruptive technologies—including Software as a Service (SaaS), Internet of Things (IoT), and Artificial Intelligence.

Prior to joining K4Connect, Stewart was the Chief Revenue Officer for Site 1001, a California-based startup focused on smart buildings, real estate technology and construction technology. Prior to that, he served as a Global Sales Leader and Executive Staff Member in the Watson Internet of Things Division at IBM—an organization where Stewart spent more than a decade at in various global leadership positions.

“Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to team up with some of the most prominent companies in the world’s largest industries to drive market disruption and create differentiated customer experiences that leverage technology. I’m extremely excited to begin engaging in the senior living industry at a time of great change and opportunity. While the rapid growth of the older adult population, changing customer expectations and the pending caregiver shortage present challenges for senior living providers, they also bring great opportunities,” said Stewart.

“K4Connect is positioned perfectly to collaborate with our clients in order to help the industry usher in a next generation, senior-centric experience that serves all constituents and scales to meet market needs. I do believe that my background in helping to lead companies – ranging from Silicon Valley start-ups to large international organizations—through transformative periods gives me a broad perspective on the opportunities that lie ahead,” Stewart added.

In his expanded role as President and Chief Operating Officer, Holt will continue to focus on all aspects of K4Connect’s business. He will oversee internal and field operations, marketing and communications, program management, customer success, and product marketing—which includes K4Connect’s expansion into the home market.

“I could not be more excited to take on this increased role with K4Connect. The past four years have represented an amazing journey for our entire team,” said Holt. “While our growth has been incredible, what’s more important to us is the impact we’re having everyday on the lives of older adults and those that serve them. Like many industries before it, technology is helping to usher in the next generation of senior living and the experiences it offers, and we could not be more excited to be teaming with great customers to help lead that charge.”

Prior to joining K4Connect, Holt was a founding member of Startup America Partnership, a public-private partnership focused on the acceleration of entrepreneurship in the U.S, where he served as Managing Director of Business Development. He was also a founding member and the Head of Growth at Main Street Genome, a venture-backed startup focused on improving success rates of Main Street businesses through data and technology. Holt began his career at IBM and served as the Worldwide Program Director for Business Partners and General Business in the Rational Software Division. Throughout his 10-year career at IBM, he held various technical and business leadership roles.

Since its founding, K4Connect has grown from a six-person bootstrapped startup, to become one of the fastest-growing companies in technology, and specifically technology for older adults. The Company has a high-performing team of more than 50 advocates (employees), secured $22 million in funding, and partnered with many of the largest and most innovative senior living providers across the country. Currently, K4Connect’s technology is being used by thousands of older adults and staff of senior living communities coast to coast.

“The technology, senior living, and senior care industries are moving through a major transformative period, and we are excited to be expanding during this time. With his deep expertise in this area, we believe Keith will be able to provide our team with the knowledge we need to continue our momentum,” said F. Scott Moody, Co-Founder, CEO and Chief Member Advocate of K4Connect. “We’re also excited to broaden Derek’s role within the Company. Since joining our team, he has played an integral part in our success.”
