October 31, 2018
WEST DES MOINES, IO–Lifespace Communities, one of the nation’s largest senior living providers, has named industry veteran Rick Oros as director of operations. Most recently the regional director of operations for Tutera Senior Living, Oros brings extensive knowledge and experience to his new role.
“Rick’s credentials are impressive, and his reputation is excellent,” said Ann Walsh, Lifespace senior vice president of operations. “We look forward to having him as a part of the Lifespace team.”
Oros began his career as a licensed nursing home administrator, moving into roles in operations and managed care. His track record includes successful leadership across all levels of living, including residential living, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing. In the past decade, he’s opened seven new communities and led two others through large-scale redevelopments, all with positive results.
“I’m looking forward to the next phase of my career and can’t imagine joining a better organization than Lifespace,” Oros said. “The horizon is bright for senior living, and it’s exciting to be part of an organization that’s committed to its mission and well-positioned for growth.”
Oros holds a Bachelor of Science degree in health planning and administration from Pennsylvania State University. He’s a licensed nursing home administrator in two states and a fellow in the American College of Health Care Administrators.
“Rick’s ability to work with executive directors and leadership at the community level and utilize the resources the Lifespace home office provides makes him an extremely valuable addition to the team,” Walsh said. “We expect him to be an exceptional leader as Lifespace moves into the future.”
