Meadow Park Celebrates Completion of $5 Million Renovation

July 28, 2022

CATONSVILLE, MD—The leaderships of Meadow Park Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center and Marquis Health Consulting Services recently celebrated the completion of a $5 million renovation and modernization of the 120-bed Catonsville skilled nursing facility. The invitation-only event brought together dignitaries, care team members and healthcare colleagues for a ribbon cutting; highlights included the presentation of an executive citation from Baltimore County Executive John A. Olszewski Jr.

“Meadow Park’s reintroduction is the culmination of a vision that has been years in the works—it’s absolutely gorgeous!” said Nikki Gachot, regional director of market development for Marquis Health Consulting Services, which supports the facility and spearheaded the renovation. “The facility has been completely transformed into a modern, home-like environment for residents—one that accommodates progressive skilled nursing care and services.”

The multi-million-dollar renovation featured top-to-bottom upgrades throughout the Meadow Park building. Highlights include well-appointed rooms with contemporary fixtures and furnishings; wood flooring; and wide, bright hallways. The work also centered on an expansion of the rehab therapy gym and the incorporation of a spacious activities of daily living (ADL) suite. The gym includes state-of-the-art equipment and technology to support the delivery of progressive rehab services, while the ADL suite mimics a home environment, giving patients the opportunity to regain skills before returning home.

“The modernization aims to support the health and wellness of the entire Meadow Park family; it is a very special place,” said Gachot.

Meadow Park’s new design boasts a contemporary, upscale feel, with an overall color scheme that is soothing and sleek with pops of vibrant yellows, blues and purples. The décor highlights Baltimore’s past and present, with artwork featuring the Pimlico Race Course and Inner Harbor, as well as hometown hero and decorated Olympian Michael Phelps.

“The Meadow Park and Marquis teams are thrilled with the results and enjoyed the opportunity to show them off,” Gachot said. “We are especially grateful for the outpouring of well wishes and thank County Executive Olszewski for recognizing the facility’s contributions to the community.”

During the renovation process, Meadow Park also enhanced its specialty care programming, in partnership with leading regional healthcare providers. Recent additions include physiatry services, which help in maximizing rehab services and providing the best functional outcomes for patients, including those rehabbing from knee and hip replacements. The facility also offers chronic kidney disease (CKD) management with onsite hemodialysis, cardiac care and pulmonary rehab programs and more.

Located at 1525 N Rolling Rd., the skilled nursing facility provides post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care. Beyond providing quality care, Meadow Park is committed to serving as a healthcare resource for area residents. Together with Marquis, it has established a resource library  of physician-curated content, addressing many topics of interest for families of patients and the larger community.
