MorningStar Senior Living Assumes Management of Community in Longmont, Co.

MorningStar Senior Living, the Denver-based senior living operator and developer, announced in a press release that it has assumed management of the local community formerly known as Balfour Longmont in Longmont, CO.

The community, which marks MorningStar’s 15th operating location in Colorado, will now operate under the brand name MorningStar Senior Living of Longmont at 1850 South Hover Street.

“We’re pleased to expand our presence in northern Colorado,” said Ken Jaeger, founder and CEO of MorningStar. “And [we] look forward to infusing all the warmth of MorningStar into this established community while offering an ideal choice for area seniors to remain in the city they love on the Front Range.”

MorningStar of Longmont’s building, which first opened in 2020, has 68 apartments for independent and assisted living and 32 secure suites in memory care. For those with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of memory impairment, MorningStar offers its studied approach to dementia care known as Lavender Sky.

The community boasts a seasoned team as Kellaway Lamb continues as executive director, an administrator role she had held since 2021.
