WALPOLE, Mass. — New Pond Village, a continuing care retirement community in Walpole, has named Christen Baker-Bagnell assisted living and memory care director.
Baker-Bagnell will oversee hiring, training, resident care, medication management and nursing for the community’s assisted living and Mind & Memory Care teams. She also will work with residents’ families, physicians and specialists on individualized care plans.
She succeeds Tasha Thomas, who was promoted to assisted living and memory care associate executive director at New Pond Village.
Baker-Bagnell began working with older adults at age 17, initially in activities and hospitality before moving into clinical care.
“My favorite part of this role is building trusting relationships and making a positive difference in the lives of our residents every day,” Baker-Bagnell said. “What drew me to New Pond Village was the strong sense of community and the genuine warmth shown for both residents and team members.”
Senior Campus Executive Director Adam Manchester said Baker-Bagnell brings extensive experience working with older adults and a collaborative approach to leadership.
New Pond Village is a Benchmark Lifecare continuing care retirement community located on Willett Pond. The community offers independent living, assisted living and memory care as part of Benchmark Senior Living.
