Torrance, California- Oakmont of Torrance recently welcomed 50 founding residents and celebrated its grand opening with exclusive events and tours, featuring top-notch culinary representing several countries.
Oakmont of Torrance is the first of several Oakmont Senior Living communities to be built and opened during the 2020 pandemic. With that in mind, guests were required to RSVP, wear masks, social distance and follow safety precautions while enjoying the 106,613-square-foot community that sits on nearly two acres. There are 87 apartment homes; including 55 assisted living and 32 memory care apartments at Oakmont of Torrance.
“We are so happy to have our community full of residents and to celebrate its opening with the greater community,” said Jill Libhart, executive director of Oakmont of Torrance. “We appreciate all the support and our wonderful team here at this new community serving our seniors.”
Oakmont of Torrance is close to shopping, fine dining, the arts and world-class entertainment. Residents will enjoy a day spa, private movie theater, resident gardens and a gorgeous setting. Oakmont of Torrance also has full access to health care and a concierge physician on site.
This community will offer Asian-inspired menus created by executive chefs and team members that will change seasonally. Oakmont of Torrance also features a bar menu. Some staple items on all menus include: Rice, Kimchi, Edamame, Seaweed Specialty Days, Wok and Roll Wednesdays, Bento Box Fridays and Soup Sundays.
