ON THE MOVE: Recent Personnel Moves in Senior Living

Health Dimensions Group, a senior living, post-acute, and long-term care management and consulting organization, announced that Stephanie Schmidt has been promoted to senior director of finance — managed communities. Schmidt has been with HDG for more than 16 years, serving as the director of financial planning and analysis. In her new role, Stephanie oversees financial analysis, forecast and budget preparation, and reimbursement expertise for HDG’s portfolio of managed communities. Additionally, she assumes a leadership position, guiding the managed community finance team.

Emerald Heights, a resort-style CCRC, has named Cindy Leung marketing and sales director. Her extensive background in hospitality and senior living includes six years as the marketing director at Aegis Living. At Emerald Heights, Leung is responsible for the day-to-day marketing, public relations, and sales programming.

Christina Meo has been named executive director at Emerald Place, an Anthem Memory Care community in Glenview, Illinois. In this capacity, she oversees all care, operations and programming. Meo brings over 12 years of senior living experience to this position; she was previously healthcare administrator for Three Crowns Park in Evanston, Illinois, and she also served as executive director with Eden Vista, formerly Dimensions Living, in Prospect Heights, Illinois. She is a licensed nursing home administrator.

Yardley Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in has appointed Kishan Patel, MD, subacute medical director. Located in Yardley, Pennsylvania, the skilled nursing center provides post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care. Dr. Patel is board certified in internal medicine, he is affiliated with First Docs in Levittown, and he brings significant experience in the skilled nursing setting to this new role. Dr. Patel also previously served as vice chair and a member at large of the Residents and Fellow Section of the Pennsylvania Medical Society. Yardley Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is supported by Marquis Health Consulting Services, an administrative and consulting services provider.

Juniper Communities has announced the appointment of Emily Whitson as executive director at Juniper Village at Preston Hollow. She brings 18 years of experience in assisted living and memory care to the Dallas-based community. A Certified Assisted Living Manager, Whitson brings expertise in crisis management, assisted living, Alzheimer’s memory care, and team building.

Edgehill, a CCRC in Stamford, Connecticut, has hired Maureen Jennings as lifestyle director; she is responsible for creating a diverse offering of engaging events, programs, and activities for Edgehill’s residents. Jennings most recently led a team of account executives and clinical liaisons for a home health agency.
