ON THE MOVE: Recent Personnel Moves in Senior Living

The Aspenwood Company has announced in a press release several promotions: Brandon Studebaker has been promoted to senior director of dining services at The Village on Morehead, a luxury independent living community in Charlotte, North Carolina. Studebaker joined the community in October 2023 as director of dining services. Israel Delgado has been promoted to senior dining venues director at The Village at The Triangle, a luxury independent living, assisted living, and memory care community in Austin, Texas. He joined the community in May 2022 as dining venues director. Meanwhile, Michelle Owens, LVN, has been promoted to senior director of The Parc/assistant executive director at The Triangle. She joined the community in 2018 and rose to director of The Parc/assistant executive director in 2019. And Darnel Omelchuck, RN, has been promoted to senior director of resident care at The Triangle. She joined the community in 2022 as director of resident care after serving as The Triangle’s home health nurse through Halcyon Home since the community opened in 2018.

The Landing, an upscale independent living, assisted living, and memory care community in Alexandria, Virginia, has announced the appointment of Jamie Houston as its new executive director. She takes this role after more than 25 years of experience in senior living. Houston began her career as a clinical nurse in a post-acute care setting before transitioning into business development, where she collaborated with hospitals to reduce readmission rates through innovative partnerships.

Covenant Living Communities and Services has named Erynn Sandman executive director at Shannondale of Knoxville, according to a press release. Sandman was most recently the executive director at a skilled nursing community in Virginia Beach, Virgina. In her role as executive director, Sandman oversees community operations at independent living and assisted living community that also offers access to skilled nursing.

Bridge Senior Living has announced in a press release the addition of Lynn Stromsdorfer as executive director of The Grande at Chesterfield, one of the company’s three St. Louis-area communities. Located less than 15 miles from downtown St. Louis, The Grande at Chesterfield offers assisted living and memory care services. Stromsdorfer was previously an operations specialist with Pegasus Senior Living, senior executive director with Anthology Senior Living, and a regional director with Spectrum Retirement Communities LLC-Missouri Region in a variety of roles, including business office director, executive director, and regional operations. She was also executive director at Southview Assisted Living and The Homestead at Hickory View Retirement Community, and a business office manager with Westview Assisted Living and Memory Care.

Emerald Heights, a resort-style CCRC in Redmond, Washington, has added two members to its marketing team: Vienna Gordon is the new marketing and move-in coordinator, and Kayla Steilen is the new sales and marketing associate. Gordon has a history of working in marketing, sales, customer relations and accounting roles at a variety of companies in property management, medical equipment, and collegiate institutions. Steilen worked in senior living marketing for the past five years.

Serina Durrah announced on LinkedIn that she has joined Claiborne Senior Living as its VP of Operations. Previously, she served as SVP of Ops at Phoenix Senior Living.

Legacy Senior Living and Dominion Senior Living have announced the promotion of Reggie Richardson to director of culinary services. Richardson started with Dominion Senior Living in 2020 as executive chef for Everlan Senior Living of Johnson City before being promoted to regional culinary specialist in 2021. Since then, he’s been overseeing food and dining for Dominion’s 17 communities and with this promotion to director of culinary services, Richardson adds Legacy Senior Living’s 17 communities to his leadership portfolio.
