ON THE MOVE: Recent Personnel Moves in Senior Living

Methodist Retirement Communities has announced Marissa Ruiz-Cerros as the new administrator of its Mirador community. Ruiz-Cerros began her career as an administrative assistant and discharge planner; she comes to Mirador from Cantex Continuing Care Network, where she was the executive director. Her responsibilities at Mirador include overseeing daily operations of the community. Located in Corpus Christi, Texas, Mirador Retirement Community recently earned a spot on U.S. News & World Report’s list of 2025 Best Nursing Homes for short-term rehabilitation.

Pacific Retirement Services has named Ky Moody executive director of Mirabella Seattle, one of its premier CCRCs. Moody has nearly 15 years of experience in CCRCs, including as regional director of operations with the Tutera Group in the Midwest and, most recently, executive director of a Lifespace community in south Florida. He oversees all aspects of Mirabella Seattle’s full spectrum of care, from independent living to skilled nursing.

Westmoreland Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Colonial Beach, Virgina, has appointed John Gilstad, MD, medical director. Westmoreland provides post-hospital care, short-term rehab, and long-term residential care. He is board certified in internal medicine and geriatrics, and for nearly 30 years he worked with the military treating geriatric veterans and their families, before retiring in 2021.

Allendale Senior Living has named Daniel Silva executive director of the assisted living community in Allendale, New Jersey. Silva was a respiratory therapist for 22 years. He has previously been director of respiratory and then assistant administrator in a skilled nursing facility. He has also served as executive director in two assisted living facilities in New Jersey, one of which also offered skilled nursing care.

Frank Trimboli has been named executive director for Morningside Place, an Anthem Memory Care community in Overland Park, Kansas, where he oversees all care, operations, and programming. Trimboli previously operated skilled nursing facilities in the Kansas City Metropolitan area; he brings over 30 years of administrative healthcare experience to this position.

New Pond Village, a CCRC in Walpole, Massachusetts, has named Jeff Cormier plant operations director. Cormier, who brings many years of experience in facilities operations to the role, is responsible for all maintenance functions within the campus, including overseeing overall operations, coordinating customizations of resident homes, and providing general preventive maintenance. Prior to his new role, he spent 36 years with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.

Ciela, a luxury wellness senior community, has announced the arrival of Emma Turner as activity director. She brings a wealth of experience in public health, social work, and program management. For the past two years, Turner has lived and worked in South Africa, contributing to programs at a children’s home, a residential facility for individuals with mental illnesses, and hospice care.

LCB Senior Living LLC, owner and operator of The Residence at Natick South, in Natick, Massachusetts, has named Paul Gabbidon restaurant operations director. Gabbidon is a seasoned certified dietary manager and operations leader with over a decade of experience in food service management and organizational transformation.
