Watercrest Senior Living Group Announces Manuel Navarro As Director Of Culinary Operations

VERO BEACH, FL–Watercrest Senior Living Group principals Marc Vorkapich, CEO and Joan Williams, CFO are proud to announce the promotion of Manuel Navarro to Director of Culinary Operations for Watercrest Senior Living Group.

Navarro joined Watercrest in 2015 as Director of Dining Services and Executive Chef of the premier Watercrest Lake Nona Assisted Living and Memory Care where he successfully led the dining services team through startup and expansive growth and earned widespread industry recognition winning two esteemed culinary competitions.

As Director of Culinary Operations for Watercrest, Navarro brings 24 years of culinary experience as a talented and motivational leader and chef, exceeding standards of excellence in his creativity, mindfulness and wholehearted passion to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Navarro began his career working in the kitchen with his father and went on to graduate with Honors from the InterAmerican University Culinary Program. He studied at Disney’s Culinary Academy in Florida before furthering his career in the hospitality industry as Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Director before joining Watercrest.

As Executive Chef of Watercrest Lake Nona, Navarro attracted industry attention winning the 2017 Nona Chamber Festival Burger Showdown and the 10th Annual Senior Living Options Chef Competition in Viera, Florida.
