ON THE MOVE: Recent Personnel Moves in Senior Living

Springpoint has named Michael Locurcio corporate director of project planning and facilities management. Locurcio is responsible for the overall management of Springpoint facility construction/renovation activities, including design, development, budgeting, permitting approval, and collaboration with various consultants and contractors. He has over 20 years of project planning/construction management and facilities management experience within several industries. Before joining Springpoint, Locurcio was senior vice president of facilities and operations at Cambridge Retirement Living.
Amanda Sanchez has been named executive director at The Springs at Sherwood in Sherwood, Oregon, where she oversees all community operations across independent living, assisted living, and memory care services. Sanchez brings 15 years of senior living experience, including the past six as executive director of Regency Park Assisted Living and Memory Care in Southwest Portland. She is a certified nursing assistant and she holds an Oregon residential care facility administrator’s license.
Covenant Living Communities & Services has named Julie Niemann executive director at Covenant Living of Golden Valley. Niemann oversees all operations at Covenant Living of Golden Valley, which offers seniors residential living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing and short- and long-term rehabilitation. Her career spans more than 25 years — all in healthcare operations and strategic initiatives.
Krista Adams has joined WesleyLife as director of culinary excellence. With a decades-long history of culinary experiences, primarily in the aging services and hospitality sectors, Adams most recently headed Local Stone, a culinary consulting company. Prior to that she headed culinary efforts for Unidine/Compass Senior Living, Santa Fe Senior Living, and Healthcare Services Group, and worked as a sous chef for The Ritz-Carlton and as director of culinary adventures for The Rock Ranch.
Jennifer Sato, vice president of health services for California-based Oakmont Senior Living, has joined the board of the American Assisted Living Nurses Association. During her four-year tenure, Sato has led Oakmont’s clinical team through the opening of 12 new development communities and the acquisition of 50 more, which means she’s overseeing the care of more than 8,000 residents across 90+ communities. She also sits on the California Assisted Living Association’s Education Committee.
