Retirement Unlimited, Inc. Hires Batts as Regional Director of Human Resources

ROANOKE, VA — Retirement Unlimited, Inc. has welcomed Destanee Batts to the team as regional director of human resources.
According to a press release, Batts has worked in human resources for six years as an HR consultant and HR manager; she has also served as an assistant executive director for a Memory Care Community. In these roles, she completed duties such as ensuring community-wide compliance, recruiting, and on-boarding new associates for all departments. In her most recent role as an HR consultant, Batts oversaw HR operations at multiple health clinics across 15 different states.
She has consulted in multiple facets of HR, including compliance, employee relations, investigations, on-boarding, developing and modifying handbooks, writing policies and procedures, and disciplinary processes.
In her role at RUI, Batts oversees human resources operations for five of RUI’s communities.
For more than 40 years RUI has been owned and operated by the Virginia families of Fralin and Waldron. In addition to its 26 senior living communities throughout Virginia, Florida, and North Carolina, RUI has several active development projects.
