Sodalis Senior Living Names Knapp Chief Officer of Operations; Arway Vice President of Operations

SAN MARCOS, TX — Sodalis Senior Living, a manager of independent-living, assisted-living, and memory-care communities based in this city located between Austin and San Antonio, has announced on its website the promotions of Dennis Knapp to Chief Officer of Operations and Karen Arway to Vice President of Operations.

Knapp has served as the Regional Director of Operations for the Florida and Georgia regions since 2021, and over the past 13 years he was an executive director. He has previously worked for Arbor Senior Living, Emeritus Senior Living, Legend Senior Living, and Holiday.

During his tenure with Sodalis Senior Living, Knapp has helped implement and develop new policies and procedures, assisted his communities in increasing revenue and occupancy year over year, and mentored community-level managers in effort to prepare them for roles as executive directors and regional positions.

Meanwhile, Arway has served as the regional director of operations for Sodalis’s Texas region since 2021. She has worked in the senior living industry for over 25 years for Emeritus Senior Living, Senior Lifestyle Corporation, and Holiday Retirement Living. After graduating from nursing school in the 1900s she began her career as a floor nurse in an assisted-living community. Over the past 20 years, she has held the role of executive director, operations specialist, and regional director of operations. During her tenure with Sodalis, she has increased occupancy and revenue year over year, developed and implemented policies and procedures, and coached and mentored community-level managers to executive director and regional positions.

Sodalis Senior Living has been serving its communities since 1997. It currently manages 36 independent-living, assisted-living, and memory-care communities in Texas, Florida, and Georgia.
