Solstice Senior Living Promotes Mills to VP of Operations

CARLSBAD, CA — Solstice Senior Living has promoted longtime senior living professional Nathan Mills to Vice President of Operations. He was previously Regional Vice President of Operations.

“Nathan has been integral to Solstice Senior Living’s success since he joined in 2018, and we couldn’t be more excited to see what his fresh leadership perspective will bring to this role,” said Steve Flynt, Solstice Senior Living CEO. “He has been instrumental in growing occupancy, increasing revenue, and continuing to build a culture of hard work and dedication to our residents and community, and we have every confidence he will help guide the company forward in the years ahead.”

Mills has a diverse background in operations, marketing, and sales, and he has served on numerous leadership committees throughout his career. In his previous role overseeing operations for Solstice’s East region, Mills gained the highest occupancy (96%) in the company by more than 10%. Moreover, he has continuously led the East region in performance, with the best overall performance of the Solstice portfolio for the past three years. He has kept expenses under budget by nearly $450,000 through April 2023 and down 10% per occupational unit year over year, even with inflation.

Mills will now support all the regions in the company.
