Sun Health Announces New Chief Financial Officer

SURPRISE, AZ–The Sun Health Services Board of Directors and Sun Health Foundation Board of Trustees announces the appointment of Sharon Grambow as the new chief financial officer (CFO) of Sun Health, effective June 1, 2019.
“Sharon’s prior experience as CFO of Sun Health Senior Living and her extensive operations experience, in addition to her dedication to Sun Health’s mission and vision, prove she is the best person for the job,” said Joe La Rue, chief executive officer of Sun Health.
Grambow has served as the executive vice president and chief operating officer of Sun Health Communities for the last 13 years. In this role she was responsible for organizational strategy and management of Sun Health Communities, including La Loma Village, The Colonnade and Grandview Terrace in the west valley. She has held a variety of other roles in the organization including executive director of Grandview Terrace and administrator of Grandview Care Center. Under Grambow’s leadership, Sun Health Communities has grown from one Life Plan Community with 420 residents to three Life Plan Communities with over 900 residents.
“I can’t wait to get started,” said Grambow. “This role is a perfect fit for my passion and skillset. I am going to focus my energy on helping Sun Health establish the financial structure that will support the organization’s execution of our strategic initiatives.”
As chief financial officer, Grambow will provide strategic and operational financial oversight of Sun Health’s three business divisions Sun Health Foundation, Sun Health Communities and Sun Health Wellness. In addition to her duties as CFO, Grambow will retain responsibilities for real estate development and remain as the organization’s compliance officer.
Nonprofit Sun Health boasts more than 50 years of meeting the health care needs of the community, first as a hospital-based system and now as an organization offering philanthropic support, three Life Plan Communities, a Continuing Care at Home program and a full slate of health and wellness programs. In partnership with Banner Health, Sun Health Foundation serves as the philanthropic link between the community and Banner Boswell and Banner Del E. Webb medical centers as well as the Banner Sun Health Research Institute. Sun Health champions superior health and wellbeing through philanthropy, inspired living and wellness programs.
