CarDon & Associates Promotes Cattell to President & CEO
April 10, 2025
INDIANAPOLIS, IN — CarDon & Associates, which owns, operates, or manages 20 senior living communities throughout Indiana, has announced in a press release that Zach Cattell is the organization’s new president/CEO.
Prior to joining CarDon as chief strategy & legal officer in 2022, Cattell was deeply involved in Hoosier healthcare on a statewide level, leading government relations efforts for the Indiana State Medical Association, the Indiana Academy of Family Physicians, and the Indiana State Department of Health, as well as time in private legal practice focusing on healthcare matters. Immediately before starting at CarDon, he served as the president of the Indiana Health Care Association.
“I’ve been a student of Medicare and Medicaid for a while now — the two most critical healthcare programs for our seniors,” Cattell said. “In our service to seniors, I am onboard with providing the value-driven and resident-centric care that our residents deserve and our governments partner with us in creating. CarDon has a lot to offer our communities and healthcare continuum partners as we navigate opportunities to provide high-quality care to seniors.”
“We are excited for Zach to leverage his healthcare policy and leadership experience to take CarDon in bold directions,” CarDon Board of Directors Chairperson Mary Horn added. “We greatly admire his passion and ambition.”
“Service in senior living and long-term care is a passion, a calling,” Cattell explained. “Continuing to serve those that are among the most vulnerable in our society and support their families who are looking for a trusted provider of care, is extremely rewarding. I’m honored to be part of a top-notch team of professionals that is laser-focused on providing excellent medical care and personal companionship to senior Hoosiers.”
CarDon & Associates is a second-generation family-owned business based in Bloomington, Indiana. Carroll and Donna Moore opened the first CarDon community in Greenwood, Indiana, in 1977.
