Shawnbertram 1025NEW YORK, NY — Adaptive Senior Living has announced in a press release the appointment of Shawn Bertram as chief executive officer. A veteran senior housing executive with more than 25 years of experience, Bertram leads the company’s resident-first strategy across its operations throughout the Northeast.

“Shawn is a proven operator and a values-driven leader,” said Co-Founder/Partner Christian Miller. “He brings deep onsite and home office expertise in building high-performing teams, improving community operations, and partnering with ownership groups — exactly what we need as we expand our footprint and services throughout the Northeast.”

Bertram has spent his career at senior living organizations across the full continuum of care, including independent living, assisted living, and memory care.

“I’m honored to join Adaptive Senior Living at such a pivotal moment as we look to change the landscape of senior living,” said Bertram. “Adaptive’s commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare for residents was key in my decision to join the firm. This opportunity reflects the culmination of 25 years of learning from residents, families, and team members — and knowing that an organization can be extremely successful when led with both head and heart. Our mission is clear: to do right by those we serve, take care of our team members, and deliver outstanding resident experiences while creating lasting value for our communities, investors, and partners. We’ll achieve this by empowering teams, embracing innovation, and holding ourselves to the highest standards of care, service, and accountability.”

Before joining Adaptive Senior Living, Bertram spent four years as CEO at Masonic Health System, overseeing a $48+ million multi-service organization. Prior to that, he spent 18 years with The Northbridge Companies, where he began as the company’s first executive director and advanced to senior vice president of operations, overseeing 18 communities across New England.

Adaptive Senior Living will own, manage, and advise senior living communities across the Northeast, with an emphasis on assisted living and memory care. The company continues to pursue selective acquisitions and third-party management opportunities that align with its long-term growth strategy.
