Allegro Senior Living Announces Strategic Fort Lauderdale Hires in Executive Director and Lead Senior Living Advisor Roles

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL—Allegro Senior Living, a premier senior living operator, has named two new executives for Allegro Fort Lauderdale. Allegro welcomed Peter Cowley as executive director and Robin Evitts as lead senior living advisor. These new team members are strategic hires for Allegro as it expands its presence in Florida, with Fort Lauderdale as its 12th community in the state.

Peter Cowley comes to Allegro with experience in almost all facets of the hospitality and senior living industries. In his role as executive director, Cowley will blend this unique experience and knowledge, cultivated from a broad range of work that includes hotel and resort operations with senior living. Over the past 10 years, Cowley’s career in senior living has taken him to beautiful communities in Nevada, California and Florida. He believes he has found his true passion in this field, and loves spending time with residents and associates alike.

Robin Evitts joins the Allegro team as lead senior living advisor. In this role, Evitts is merging her career in sales with her passion for finding the right senior living solution for every family’s unique situation. Evitts returned to south Florida in recent years, where she began her work with senior living communities. Evitts is excited to join the Allegro family and looks forward to bringing a premier living experience to area seniors.

Allegro Fort Lauderdale offers 188 units and stunning views of the adjacent waterway. Conveniently located at 1290 N. Federal Highway, Allegro Fort Lauderdale was designed with modern sensibilities at every turn and offers independent, assisted living and memory care. The community is more than 280,000 square feet and boasts a variety of offerings and services, including multiple indoor and outdoor dining and entertaining options, a two-story theater, sky lounge, salon and spa, fitness and wellness center, pool, outdoor fireplace and fire pit, bourbon and whiskey lounge, boardwalk, outdoor gardens, dog park, housekeeping, valet parking, transportation, boat access and more.

Allegro Fort Lauderdale will bring more than 115 jobs to the area, hiring at all levels including management, medical and care, dining, activities, transportation, maintenance and housekeeping. Pre-lease began in September 2022, with a residential opening expected in mid to late 2023. Allegro currently operates 14 senior living communities in the United States, with approximately 2,015 units.
