January 14, 2019

WALTHAM, MA–From a young age, Andrew Goshert knew he wanted to play a pivotal role in the lives of seniors and their families. A degree in Gerontology and several senior living communities under his belt, over 13 years later, he still wakes up excited to go to work every day and make a positive impact on those he serves. Benchmark, a leading provider of senior living and aging-well services in the Northeast, is pleased to welcome him as executive director for their Chestnut Park at Cleveland Circle assisted living and memory care community in Brighton, Mass.

“Benchmark’s mission is to elevate human connection and keep its residents, families and associates connected to what matters most in their lives. Throughout my career, this has been my personal mission so it’s gratifying to be able to have discovered a company that not only has an excellent reputation, but that mirrors my own beliefs,” says Goshert. “Chestnut Park is a highly regarded community and I look forward to contributing my knowledge, experience and skills to its operations.”

Goshert joins Benchmark from Brooksby Village in Peabody, MA, where he served as director of continuing care for the retirement campus, overseeing 104 skilled nursing beds, 92 assisted living apartments and several memory care neighborhoods with 32 units. Before Brooksby, he was the director of health services for Dunwoody Village in Newtown Square, PA, near where he was born and raised. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University, earning a B.S. in Health Policy and Administration with an emphasis on Gerontology. Goshert presently resides in Boston with wife, Caitlin, and dog, Oliver.

“It’s not too often that someone like Andrew comes along and we are thrilled to have him,” says Bobbi Miller, regional director of operations for Benchmark. “He brings the operational excellence of having worked for much larger continuing care retirement communities with a strong desire to develop the close interpersonal relationships we so value here at Benchmark.”

Chestnut Park at Cleveland Circle has been a mainstay in the Boston area for nearly 30 years. The community provides individualized assisted living and memory care for all stages of dementia supported by Benchmark’s effective, award-winning Mind and Memory approach; a robust activities program; experienced staff; and a host of on-site amenities.
