November 7, 2017

SKOKIE, IL–Covenant Retirement Communities, Inc. (CRC) President and CEO Terri Cunliffe recently announced the appointment of Frank Muraca to a new position on the executive leadership team, senior vice president of business and project development.

“The appointment of Frank allows CRC to self-direct our growth and repositioning strategies. Frank’s breadth of national experience in senior living development brings an enhanced level of connections with others throughout the field of senior living,” said Cunliffe. “That networking experience will prove to be beneficial for CRC as we look to the future and our own organization’s growth.”

Muraca, a senior living executive, joins CRC with more than 20 years of senior living development and a passion for serving seniors. In his new role, Muraca will lead strategies related to the growth and expansion for CRC’s 15 retirement communities as well as potential acquisitions and affiliations.

“Joining CRC is an opportunity to take our passion for seniors and our combined years of experience and connect it back to an organization that aligns with my personal and professional beliefs,” said Muraca. “Terri’s leadership and vision for the organization creates an energy that I’m excited to be a part of.”

Prior to joining CRC, Muraca served as the president of a national owner’s representative firm and has served as a manager at architectural firms specializing in senior living environments. Throughout his career, he directed business strategy for national, multi-site senior provider organizations, and has developed or repositioned more than 3,000 housing units for Life Plan Communities nationwide.

Muraca has a bachelor’s degree in Classical Civilization from Loyola University of Chicago and a master’s degree in Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
