Holden Southcenter Announces Executive Director

Holden Southcenter, a premier Assisted Living and Memory Care community, is pleased to announce that Shane Fowler has been named the Executive Director of the new community.

“Shane has been involved in senior care his whole life and really brings that enthusiasm and energy to Holden Southcenter. We are fortunate that have his leadership in place at our new community,” said Patrick Dooley, chief development officer of Milestone Retirement.

Shane’s interest in seniors started early for him. Growing up he built a strong personal relationship with his senior neighbor Fern, who allowed him to mow her lawn in exchange for cookies and good conversation. And along the way, she taught him to play the piano. In addition, he lived with and took care of his own his grandmother when he was getting his start in senior care at the age of 19. While he was taking care of her, he was also caring for other seniors at a local skilled nursing facility as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). His love and care for seniors grew over the years

As the Executive Director, Shane brings over 14 years of experience in senior care to his position. Most recently, he was a Senior Executive Director for Sunrise Senior Living. Shane grew up in the South Seattle area, and currently resides in Renton. It goes without saying that he knows the Southcenter area well.
