Kisco Senior Living Welcomes Daizel Gasperian as Executive Director in Anaheim

November 12, 2021

Kisco Senior Living, an industry leader in developing and managing full-service senior living communities that provide an enriched lifestyle, has recently hired Daizel Gasperian as their newest executive director to head their Emerald Court community in Anaheim, California. Gasperian brings 28 years of experience in the senior living industry to her new role, with over two decades specifically in administration from companies like Silverado, Kindred Healthcare, and Life Care Centers of America. She has received multiple awards for her accomplishment in operations including Community of the Year, Excellence in Management, Excellence in Financial Management, and President’s Award.

Gasperian’s expertise has previously centered in turning around troubled skilled nursing facilities, quickly and effectively bringing communities up to standards of excellence. She says that turnarounds can be difficult, but the hardest part is keeping the facility operating at that higher level and the challenge to continually to improve. It is that aspect of maintaining excellence that Gasperian is excited to bring to Emerald Court.

Gasperian believes that working in senior living is all about how you make people feel, being fully present, as words and philosophies mean less when not supported by the actions of the community’s associates and leadership. Continuity and relationship-building are key foundations in the way she runs communities. Her top skills include hiring and retaining the right talent, building framework for strong teams and diversity, and a “they get to come, not have to come” attitude. She is most looking forward to creating happy moments among the residents and associate staff and hopes to impose the importance of being present every day.

A Valencia High School Tiger herself, Daizel grew up in Anaheim, California and graduated from UC Irvine with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. She then attended USC and completed her MBA. Shortly afterwards, she realized she wanted to go back into healthcare and began her career in sales and marketing for a nearby skilled nursing facility and then progressed into administration. “I realized I loved operations. I had a knack for problem solving and in turning around challenged facilities,” says Daizel.

“I always thought that Kisco Senior Living would be a great place to work if I was ready to move companies,” shares Daizel. “There was just something about it and its people. I always had respect for the company. I am ecstatic to now be a part of this great group of industry leaders.” Daizel has been leading Emerald Court now for over two months and says the community “feels like home… I connected right away.”

Emerald Court is a community built for continuity of care with residences for independent living, assisted living, and a newly refurbished memory care wing, providing a way for seniors to age in place. Located in North Orange County, residents enjoy living at Emerald Court for the friendly, family-like setting that they experience as well as the welcoming surroundings. Emerald Court’s principles, values and beliefs remain at the forefront of our focus, continuing to provide exemplary service delivered with integrity, dignity, and compassion.
