Leisure Care Creates New Role for East Coast Expansion
March 26, 2019
SEATTLE–Leisure Care, one of the nation’s largest and most innovative senior living management companies, has created a new role to help with its ongoing East Coast expansion.
Long-time Leisure Care employee, Michael Juno, will serve as the Vice President of East Coast Operations, helping assist the company with a number of new openings planned for 2019.
Four of the eight new communities will be acquisitions, bringing Leisure Care’s total number of East Coast communities to 16. With this expansion and Juno’s extensive history with the company, the Leisure Care mission of family and five-star fun will continue to grow on the East Coast.
“We have always known that we wanted to stretch the nation, which ultimately allows us to positively impact more seniors, their families, and our employees,” said Juno. “Leisure Care’s unique ability to deliver culture-rich communities that are filled with fun and laughter provides an uplifting experience.”
For the last 10 years, as Operations Director, Juno was responsible for supporting the general managers at six communities on day-to-day operations. In his new role, Juno will work closely with Leisure Care’s New Business team on market analyses, new acquisitions, and onboarding new communities.
“With the growth on the East Coast, I’ve been able to hire additional operations leaders to take on part of the portfolio in the East,” Juno said. “Now there is a lot more coordination and strategy with the East Coast team to assure that our communities have the support they need.”
Throughout this continued growth, Juno says, Leisure Care’s mission will continue to be driven by family. “Leisure Care is not growing for the sake of growing,” said Juno. “This has been a strategic plan many years in the making with systematic growth for the next several years.”
Juno said his new role not only gives him the opportunity to grow a new team and share Leisure Care culture with more people, but also gives him the ability to spend more time with his two young sons.
“By providing a platform for our employees to put their families first, we can attract quality staff that truly care about people,” Juno said.
Founded in 1976, Leisure Care, LLC is one of the largest privately owned and most innovative operators of senior living communities in the United States, operating 50 retirement communities and nearly 8,000 apartments across the country.
