Oakmont Senior Living Names Salman Executive Director for Oakmont of Riverpark

June 10, 2019

WINDSOR, CA–Oakmont Senior Living has named Gina Salman executive director of Oakmont of Riverpark in Oxnard, a senior living community opening this winter.

Salman has worked in the senior living industry for more than a decade. As a child, she discovered her love for this kind of work.

“Senior living actually found me after a lifetime of passion for seniors. As a young girl, I volunteered in nursing homes. I was fortunate to have a role in the decisions made for the care of my grandmother who had Alzheimer’s, which sparked my initial passion to embark on a career caring for seniors,” said Salman.

With an impressive professional background and a personal interest in the field, Salman said she found Oakmont to be the best place to continue her lifelong goal of enriching the lives of seniors. “It is refreshing to see the smiling faces of residents who live at Oakmont communities and to work with team members who are talented and passionate. I am proud to work with a team of people who enjoy serving residents as much as I do.”

Before joining Oakmont, Salman was executive director at Wellbrook at Valley Vista Assisted Living and Memory Care in Van Nuys, CA.

When Gina is not at work, she likes to spend time with her adult children, hike, play tennis and travel.

Oakmont of Riverpark is nestled near the Santa Clara River in the community of Oxnard and is set to open in Winter 2019.

“The city of Oxnard offers a variety of entertainment and dining options for residents who are wanting to explore, either on their own or through Oakmont’s planned excursions. For those who would prefer to relax at home, Oakmont of Riverpark will offer a comprehensive enrichment program with daily activities,” said Salman.

Headquartered in Windsor, Oakmont Senior Living is a recognized leader in the retirement industry. Founded in 2012, Oakmont Senior Living provides customized services in luxurious, resort-style settings to meet the unique needs of each resident.
