Orchard Hill Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center Introduces Palliative Care Services

Orchard Hill Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Towson, Maryland has introduced in-facility palliative care services under the direction of Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care. Located at 111 West Road, the 134-bed skilled nursing facility provides post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care.
Palliative care is a specialized medical model for people living with a serious, chronic or life-limiting illness. It focuses on providing the necessary medical, emotional and spiritual support to help relieve symptoms and stress, with the goal to improve quality of life for both the resident and their loved ones. Palliative care often accompanies curative treatment and is administered by a trained team of doctors, nurses and specialists.

A multi-million-dollar renovation underway at Orchard Hill incorporates upgrades throughout the facility, including the addition of a state-of-the-art, 2,500-square-foot therapy gym. Orchard Hill offers 24/7 admissions direct from the emergency room and coordination of home care services. Together with Marquis, Orchard Hill developed a resource library of physician-curated content, addressing many topics of interest for families of patients and the larger community.
