Springpoint’s Meadow Lakes Life Plan Community Wins ‘Best in Wellness’ Beacon Award

January 21, 2022

Meadow Lakes, a Springpoint Life Plan Community, has won the 2021 ICAA NuStep Beacon Award, recognizing the Top 25 “Best in Wellness” senior living communities in the United States and Canada. The International Council on Active Aging® (ICAA), which connects and defines the active aging industry, and NuStep, LLC, a major manufacturer of recumbent exercise machines used at health clubs, senior living communities, and physical therapy centers, sponsors the award.

Designed to showcase organizations that embrace wellness as a way of life for all residents and staff, the ICAA NuStep Beacon Award recognizes Meadow Lakes’ outstanding commitment, creativity, and culture. The award’s focus on emotional, physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, vocational, and environmental health is reflected in Springpoint’s LivWell program.

“It’s rewarding to see our wellness approach receive such strong validation,” said Anthony A. Argondizza, President and CEO of Springpoint. “LivWell, one of our signature programs, provides our residents with the opportunity to engage in experiences that support a high quality of life, personal choice, lifelong development, and an optimal sense of well-being.

At Meadow Lakes, wellness is woven into the fabric of the community’s culture. Meadow Lakes’ residents engage in a variety of programs and events from arts, culture, and volunteer programs to physical wellness.

Not only is staff fully vested in resident life, but residents lend their support to team members, providing educational scholarships and leading English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for team members. Staff members have the opportunity to engage in resident programming as well, like a game of pool volleyball or meditation session. In addition, there are two resident-directed theatrical performances each year that feature the talents of residents and staff.

“We congratulate all the Beacon Award winners,” added Argondizza, “and we encourage all our Springpoint residents to keep discovering, engaging, and living their best lives.”
