Trilogy Health Services Responds to Industry Worker Shortage With New Compensation Package

October 19, 2021

Trilogy Health Services, a provider of senior living services headquartered in Louisville, Ky., is responding to the current industry worker shortage with an $8 million investment in its employees. With more than 110 120 senior living communities in Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio and Michigan, the investment is designed to attract workers and build upon an already stellar reputation among current employees. The company’s philosophy of investing in employees through steps including tuition reimbursement and career guidance is a game-changer. Their initiatives are likely to pay dividends in the form of long-term careers at Trilogy for employees interested in salaried positions and management careers with the senior residential living company.

Several key Trilogy markets are facing a shortage of workers, much like other industries in the U.S. While the national unemployment rate hovers at 4.8 percent and with 10.4 million job openings, many businesses continue to struggle to find workers.* Trilogy is hiring in virtually every market and encouraging potential candidates to visit TrilogyJobs.com for more information.

Trilogy has a strong reputation as an employer of choice regularly landing on the Glassdoor and Fortune lists of best places to work in the U.S.  And they continue to take steps to further enhance the employee experience:

  • Progressive compensation packages that rank above the industry average
  • Automatic quarterly wage increases
  • College tuition reimbursement program
  • Generous overall benefits package
  • Scheduling flexibility
  • Attractive caregiver/resident ratios
  • Top rated apprenticeship tracks and continuous training programs

“Trilogy Health Services is an employee-centric organization, consistently leading the industry in terms of employee attraction and retention,” said Leigh Ann Barney, President and CEO of Trilogy. “When we assessed industry compensation numbers and statistics, we combined those findings with the feedback of our current employees to determine that investing in them is the best way to attract workers as well as retain the best and brightest for potential leadership roles at our campuses and across the entire organization.”

The regional senior living provider was recently honored with a Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award, and recognized among the Best Places to Work in 2021.  In addition, Trilogy was also recently named one of Fortune’s Best Places to Work in Aging Services List 2021. In pursuit of becoming the best healthcare company in the Midwest, Trilogy has taken steps to ensure that the number of available workers does not impact the quality of care they provide.

“It’s so rewarding to witness positive feedback from our team members and staff,” said Barbara Revelette, Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at Trilogy. “With the rapidly growing aging population, we need to be staffed for continued growth and that’s why we are making this substantial investment in our people.”

The Employees’ Choice Award, now in its 13th year, is based solely on the input of employees, who elect to provide anonymous feedback by completing a company review about their job, work environment and employer on Glassdoor, the worldwide leader on insights about jobs and companies on Glassdoor, current and former employees voluntarily and anonymously share insights and opinions about their work environments by sharing a company review, designed to capture a genuine and authentic inside look at what a specific job may be like at a particular company.
