Westmont Living Announces the Promotion of Diane Navarro to Vice President of Operations

June 6, 2022

LA JOLLA, CA—Diane “Dee” Navarro has been promoted to vice president of operations at Westmont Living, a La Jolla-based senior living provider.

In 2018, Navarro was hired by Westmont Living to serve as regional director of operations. Her region grew quickly to include two Oregon communities, and two newly-opened communities in California: The Oaks at Paso Robles and Westmont of Cypress.

Over the past two years, Navarro has ably navigated Westmont Living communities through the COVID pandemic, undertaking many responsibilities beyond normal working hours/days in support of hundreds of seniors—the frailest and most vulnerable to the virus—along with reassuring their families and encouraging her staff, without interruption of essential services and still keeping everyone as safe and engaged as possible.

Navarro started in the senior living services industry in 1992 in the care administration of a 232-bed skilled nursing facility in Fresno, California, until 1999. She then moved into a sales position for a senior lifestyles corporation community in Fresno, marketing independent living and assisted living apartments.

In 2005, she became an executive director at the BPM Senior Living community in Clovis, California, and spent eight years in that role. The community then transitioned to a Blue Harbor Senior Living community, which served as a home base for Navarro after being promoted to regional director of operations in 2013. This community and role are what inspired her to help other EDs and teams to succeed. In 2017, she joined MBK Senior Living, followed by Westmont Living.

Westmont Living is a privately-owned senior living provider based in La Jolla; it has more than 23 years of experience offering exceptional care to seniors. The company’s mission is to provide inspiring life experiences, which enable residents and their families to lead full and enriching lives. Westmont currently operates 18 communities in California and Oregon.
