LISLE, IL—LeadingAge Illinois announced during its annual meeting the induction of the next chair for their board of directors. Elizabeth McLaren, vice president of reimbursement and community-based services for Covenant Living Communities and Services, has served on the board since 2017; she has previously served as SNF cabinet president, treasurer and chair elect. “It is an honor to lead the board of directors of this state association that helps serve its non-profit members in the field of aging services,” said McLaren. “Our membership has experienced challenges over the course of the last two years and we are here to provide guidance for those members who continue to navigate the ever-changing regulations in the field of health care and senior housing. I am thrilled to be partnering with our new CEO, Angela Shnepf, as well, as I begin this new position.”

McLaren has more than 20 years of experience in skilled nursing operations, home care operations, revenue enhancement, reimbursement and regulatory compliance and third party receivables.

“Elizabeth’s career, professionalism and broad experience will be very beneficial to our association and provides us with the board leadership necessary to guide the continued success of the association and its members,” said Schnepf, LeadingAge Illinois president and CEO. “We are looking forward to her leadership as it relates to member services, programming and public policy.”
