Reata Glen Fills Key Leadership Position to Prepare for Upcoming ‘Silver Tsunami’

February 21, 2019

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA–Reata Glen, the area’s newest Life Plan Community, is excited to announce Suzanne Nasraty as its executive director. In her new position, Nasraty will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the entire senior living community, which will feature 480 residential living homes and a variety of services and amenities for its more than 600 residents.

Nasraty has more than 20 years of senior living experience and has overseen operations at several California communities. Most recently, she served as an administrator for Park Vista Health Center in Fullerton and was the associate executive director at La Costa Glen in Carlsbad.

“I’m excited to begin this new journey with Reata Glen,” said Nasraty. “Through my two decades of senior living experience, I’ve been able to develop relationships with seniors across this beautiful state. It’s so rewarding to help them continue a vibrant lifestyle, which Reata Glen will offer them.”

The community, located between the new masterplan community of Rancho Mission Viejo and San Juan Capistrano, will welcome its first residents in April. It includes 20 unique floor plans and sweeping views of the surrounding valley. Residents will enjoy more than 200 activities and amenities, including a movie theater, performing arts theater, a state-of-the-art fitness center and spa, an indoor and outdoor pool, multiple dining venues, billiards and cards rooms, raised garden beds, and walking and cycling trails with access to San Juan Creek Trail leading directly to Doheny State Beach.

Reata Glen will also offer care at the adjacent health center, where future residents will have access to assisted living, memory care, and long-term care in a skilled nursing center, if they ever need it.

Nasraty, who received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, believes her experience in the field will help her team and future residents understand the lifestyle and wellness options provided at Reata Glen.

Reata Glen is among other communities preparing for the “silver tsunami,” the time when a growing number of baby boomers begin seeking residence in retirement communities.

“There’s a tremendous need for engaging senior living options in the area because of the growing senior population,” Nasraty said. “With 13 percent of the Orange County population already reaching their senior years, and that number expected to double in 20 years, we believe there’s a need to educate the older population about their senior living options and planning ahead for the future. Older adults are yearning for a location where they can grow and continue to enjoy fulfilling lives, and that’s what Reata Glen will offer our residents.”

Reata Glen, located at 2 Las Estrellas Loop in Rancho Mission Viejo, CA, is a Life Plan Community scheduled to open in spring 2019. It will provide seniors with maintenance-free villas and apartment homes, as well as amenities that include a putting green, dog park, business center, movie theater and multiple dining venues.
