Tutera’s Mike Levitt Elected President of the Missouri Health Care Association

KANSAS CITY, MO–Mike Levitt, vice president and chief compliance officer for Tutera Senior Living & Health Care, was recently elected president of the Missouri Health Care Association(MHCA) at its annual convention in Branson, Missouri. The term for this board position is one year. Levitt previously served two terms as MHCA vice president for the past two years.
Levitt, a licensed nursing home administrator since 1977, also serves as the president of the Missouri Board of Nursing Home Administrators to which he was appointed by Missouri’s Governor in 2011.
Established in 1947 and currently with 320 members, the MHCA is Missouri’s largest association of licensed, long-term, residential and assisted-living facilities. The MHCA is dedicated to driving excellence in the long-term health care profession and improving the dignity and quality of life for the residents of long-term care. MHCA is affiliated with the American Health Care Association, which is the largest and most powerful long-term care advocacy group in Washington, DC.

A licensed nursing home administrator, Levitt has held various positions with Tutera over his 30+ years with Tutera Senior Living & Health Care where he currently oversees Tutera’s Continua Home Health. In addition, Levitt manages government relations for Tutera’s senior living facilities, communities and agencies in nine states. Levitt brings his depth of experience as an administrator working daily with Tutera’s senior living communities across the country to this Board position.

A Kansas City native, Levitt serves as president of the Missouri Board of Nursing Home Administrators. He also serves on the American Health Care Association Survey/Regulatory Committee for the 2018/2019 year and is a member of the Health Care Compliance Association. Levitt previously served as board chair of Our Lady of Mercy Country Home where he led the development of a $7 million retirement community owned and operated by the Mercedarian Missionaries of Berriz in Liberty, MO.
