ORLANDO–Westminster Communities of Florida announced February 26 that its Board of Directors has named Terry Rogers as its next Chief Executive Officer.

Westminster, the nation’s 12th-largest not-for-profit senior living organization, serves more than 7,000 residents in 22 communities throughout Florida. Its current CEO, Roger Stevens, had previously announced plans to retire in March 2020.

Rogers is currently the President and CEO of Christian Living Communities and Cappella Living Solutions, multi-site senior living and healthcare organization based in Englewood, CO, near Denver. Prior to that, he was the President and CEO of St. Martin’s in the Pines, a large retirement community in Birmingham, Ala.

A graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a degree in Financial Management, Rogers is a noted leader in the field of senior living and a regular presenter at regional and national conferences. He and his wife, Dr. Elizabeth Phillips Rogers, an emergency room physician, will be relocating to Central Florida.

“I am honored to receive the confidence from the Westminster Board of Directors to continue the legacy of support and care to older adults in Florida,” Rogers said. “The culture of Westminster aligns perfectly with my passions and I look forward to serving with the amazing team members across the organization.”

The Board of Directors and current CEO Stevens expressed great enthusiasm for Rogers’ qualifications and expertise. “I am confident that Westminster has a bright future ahead under Terry’s leadership and know that our organization will be in good hands,” said Stevens.

Rogers’ first day leading Westminster will be April 20, 2020.
